PLANT DESCRIPTION

West Damietta Power project was a modular type of simple cycle plant that is converted to combined cycle with no supplementary firing in the HRSGs. 
Power generation plant consists of one module which consists of 4 existing CTGs x 4 new HRSGs x 1 new STG configuration delivering 750 MW Nominal, ISO). This output is achieved when burning natural gas in the combustion turbines. Oxides of nitrogen (NOX) emissions is controlled by dry low-NOX (DLN) combustors. Power is generated at manufacturer’s standard voltage for the STGs, stepped up through main transformers and fed to the utility unified grid via an onsite gas-insulated (GIS) switchyard. The project site is located west of Damietta City.
