Inception has served the power industry in Egypt and the Middle East through over 70 power Projects with total capacity exceeds 54,000 MW covering all types of power generating facilities including thermal (sub-critical or super-critical), combined cycle, simple cycle, conversion simple to combined, and reciprocating engine plants Projects, with diversity of Clients such as governmental utilities, private investors, etc. For Oil & Gas or industrial facilities, PGESCO can perform OSBL and Utilities scope, including the combined heat and power.
The Engineering and Construction Management services have delivered over 2000km of Overhead Transmission Lines “OHTL” and over 100 substations of various voltage levels (i.e. 500kV, 400kV, 220kV, 66kV) in Egypt, Libya and Iraq. We have also had an extensive experience related to the energy control centers.
Our record exceeds 2000 MW of participation in Renewable Power Projects in Egypt, Libya, and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This includes PMC services for Benban Solar Park with 1650 MW solar photovoltaic plant interconnection with the National Grid which has been considered one of the biggest solar photovoltaic park in the world, upon completion. In addition to 200 MW Projects in Eastern Libya of solar photovoltaic as an owner engineer, 250 MW wind Projects in Ras Gharib, Egypt, Lekela West Bakr, and finally as an EPC partner of 10 MW solar photovoltaic plant with 5 MWhr storage in DRC.
We have successfully delivered more than 30 Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities, 12 Desalination Projects, more than 10 River Side Water Structures, 8 Sea Offshore Water Structure and Pipes including Jetty Concrete, HDPE Offshore and GRP Onshore.
PGESCO is now currently participating in:
- New Delta Water Treatment Plant of capacity 7.5 million m3/day (EPC engineer responsible for base and detailed design
- Sherbin Water Treatment Plants of capacity 30,000 m3/day (Partner of the JV executing the Project)
- Maghagh Wastewater Treatment Plants of capacity 80,000 m3/day (Partner of the JV executing the Project)
- Mostakbal Masr Rashid Intake for agricultural expansion of total capacity of 11 million m3/day (EPC engineer responsible for base and detailed design)

Our record and fact sheets include delivering 6 Major Housing Colonies enclosing Gasoline Stations, Housing, Administrative Buildings, Villas & Apartments. We have also provided value engineering on the electrical distribution network in Swan Lake Residence, in addition to providing integrated PMC services for HAP Town Project.
We got involved in some of the most strategic Infrastructure Projects that are initiated by the Egyptian leadership to support the long-term plan for elevating the quality of life and expanding the land areas eligible for population growth. PGESCO has been awarded the main project management and engineering consultancy for the Presidential initiative “Hayah Karima” for the Ministry of housing utilities and Urban Communities as well as Military Engineering Authority (MEA).
We have participated previously on lead role(s) and in consortium formation with other international engineering firms to provide more than 40 feasibility studies, financial modeling analysis, techno-economic studies for power generation plants, waste to Energy recovery plants and other industrial solutions.
