IPP plant in Luxor for a Combined Cycle dual fired with total expected capacity of 2250 MW
LUXOR Combined Cycle Power Plant is a dual fire power plant that is expected to have a capacity of 2250 MW. The power plant location was moved from Behira Governorate to Luxor Governorate due to the anticipated rise in electricity demand in Upper Egypt.
ACWA Power, the owner of the power plant, has requested PGESCO to complete several tasks. These include evaluating the most suitable cooling system for the plant, gathering meteorological data from the relevant authorities, assessing nearby reservoirs for the discharge of plant wastewater, and providing a list of permits necessary for the construction of the power plant.
