Located about 15 km southwest of Benghazi, Libya, on the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, consists of two modules, each configured as a 2x2x1 setup, featuring desalination and potable water plants. The key equipment in each module includes two indoor CTG units with a nominal rating of 315-330 MW, two outdoor three-pressure HRSGs, one indoor condensing reheat STG unit with a nominal rating of 330 MW, a steam surface condenser, two RO desalination trains producing 30,000 m3/day, two potable water trains generating 25,000 m3/day, a lifting pump station for transferring potable water to the city, a natural gas reducing station with various equipment for conditioning the gas, a 220 kV Gas Insulated Switchyard, and a once-through cooling water system with several components including a surface condenser, circulating water pumps, and a debris filter. Additionally, a DCS (Distributed Control System) is implemented to manage the combined cycle facility.
