R/SH Powerhouse is an onshore gas turbine power generation plant located at Ras Shukeir in the East of Egypt near to the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company.It has nine turbine-generators sets provided with PMS.
R/SH powerhouse had electro-mechanical protection relays, circuit breakers, transformers, conventional control, the mostly existing Components were obsolete and no longer available by the original manufacturer, so it was necessary to upgrade the Powerhouse. Required upgrades were implemented but several trip incidents occurred causing un-stability to the powerhouse operation.
